A series of art pieces exploring the destruction of mother nature

THE PASSION FLOWER
Alluding to the concept of deception, this sculpture portrays how something as beautiful and innocent as a flower can in fact be dangerous in its nature. Made with utensils and frying pans, the flower’s fragile petals are sharp and stiff. Yet, when looking from afar, one can only grasp the essence of the flower rather than its “hidden” danger. The light, traditionally a symbol of purity, serves as a scrutinizing eye.

THE MUTATED FLY
This sculpture serves as an alarming image against environmental degradation. The fly’s head has been transformed into a chemical mask so that the insect can be protected from poisonous chemicals that have been released into the atmosphere. In essence the fly has become a chimera.

DECAY
Nature shrinks. It gets lost, overpowered by the cruelty of human greed. Sick trees and rubbish prevail. A shocking site.
